AI BaZi Reading · Four Pillars of Destiny

BaZi converts birth year, month, day, and hour into four stem-branch pillars. The useful starting point is understanding the Day Master, month branch, Five Phase relationships, and luck cycles as one system.

A reliable chart needs the birth date, local clock time, birthplace, and calendar source. Preserve the original record before time-zone, daylight-saving, or solar-time corrections.

Normalize historical civil time first, then evaluate calendar and solar-term boundaries, and only then consider solar time. A wrong order can shift the month, day, or hour pillar.

True Solar Time adjusts civil clock time using birthplace longitude and the equation of time. It changes a pillar only when the corrected result crosses an hour or date boundary.

An unknown hour does not invalidate the whole chart. The first three pillars may remain calculable, while the hour pillar and dependent claims must stay explicitly uncertain.

The Ten Gods classify each stem's Five Phase and yin-yang relationship to the Day Master. They describe functions in a chart, not literal deities or fixed personality types.

Da Yun provides a longer stem-branch background and the annual pillar a shorter trigger. Their meaning comes from how they interact with the natal chart's strength, climate, pattern, and relationships.

A useful compatibility reading first understands each chart, then compares needs, Ten God relationships, stem-branch interactions, and timing. One score cannot explain how a relationship works.

Use the local date, historical time zone, and the same solar-term instant. Reversing the month branch by season is a school-specific choice and should never happen without disclosure.

Chart calculation converts birth data into pillars through explicit rules. AI interpretation converts the calculated structure into language. The first should be reproducible; the second requires evidence and uncertainty checks.

Language models generate explanations well but do not inherently execute historical time-zone, solar-term, stem-branch, or luck-cycle algorithms. Use testable calculation first.
